Change of dates for Norfolk Holiday
The Historic Houses & Heritage of Norfolk.
In agreement with Walsall National Trust Association and your group travel organiser and to ensure compliance with the latest Government guidelines, it has been decided to now run the above tour from 28 June to 2 July 2021.
In every respect, other than the dates of travel, the tour will be the same as originally planned. Final payment is now due on 3rd May 2021.
Everyone who was booked on the original tour is now booked onto the new tour dates and all payments previously made to us have been applied to the new tour. Click here for more details.
Walkers’ Holiday / Freedom Break: Malham 2022 Cancelled
We are unable to achieve the numbers for sole occupancy of Newfield Hall which means that we couldn’t have the number of single rooms we needed without incurring an extra charge of £20pp per night. Also we don’t have enough for the Discovery break. The holiday has therefore been cancelled. Refunds will be arranged.
Janet Clews has worked very hard to keep this holiday alive and has spent many hours of organisation and negotiation over a very difficult time. This is very much appreciated by the membership.

For the past 12 months we have all been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the associations activities have been greatly curtailed, particularly in the summer of 2020. As a result the committee decided that we would not ask for a subscription in September 2020. We have agreed that the subscription due in September 2021 would be set at £8 for the year and not due until January 2022. We will then reassess the situation and hopefully the year starting September 2022 will be normal.
You will see that we only made donations to the National Trust of £750 , but it was felt prudent for us to hold a larger balance than usual for the time being.
Many thanks to Roger Turner for examining the Accounts.
Due to the current situation with Covid 19, the management committee has decided that there will be no WNTA lecture meetings until September 2021 at the earliest.
Many National Trust gardens are open through advanced booking. New tickets are released on a Friday for the following week. Please check the NT website to find out which ones are open. More information on how to book your visit can be found by clicking this link.
We almost completed our lecture programme before the pandemic. There were some outstanding lectures. Read the reviews on our Lecture Reviews page. (Click on the image below)
