Update: Holiday to go ahead
Because of the delay in lockdown easing (announced 14th June), Tailored Travel have looked into the new legislation and confirmed that all is well with the holiday. They will contact all members who have booked with final details.
Walkers’ Holiday / Freedom Break: Malham 2022 Cancelled
We are unable to achieve the numbers for sole occupancy of Newfield Hall which means that we couldn’t have the number of single rooms we needed without incurring an extra charge of £20pp per night. Also we don’t have enough for the Discovery break. The holiday has therefore been cancelled. Refunds will be arranged.
Janet Clews has worked very hard to keep this holiday alive and has spent many hours of organisation and negotiation over a very difficult time. This is very much appreciated by the membership.

For the past 12 months we have all been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the associations activities have been greatly curtailed, particularly in the summer of 2020. As a result the committee decided that we would not ask for a subscription in September 2020. We have agreed that the subscription due in September 2021 would be set at £8 for the year and not due until January 2022. We will then reassess the situation and hopefully the year starting September 2022 will be normal.
You will see that we only made donations to the National Trust of £750 , but it was felt prudent for us to hold a larger balance than usual for the time being.
Many thanks to Roger Turner for examining the Accounts.
Many National Trust properties are open through advanced booking. New tickets are released on a Friday for the following week. Please check the NT website to find out which ones are open. More information on how to book your visit can be found by clicking this link.
